WISA Stock Is One To Watch After News

In a press release issued early this morning, Summit Wireless Technologies announced the commercial launch of a new line of WISA Certified Klipsch speakers. The new line is expected to hit the market with a splash after being awarded “Best of CES” from both Digital Trends and Hi-Def Digest at the 2019 Consumer Electronics Show.

In the release, WISA said that the new Klipsch line is known as Klipsch Reference Wireless. The speakers take advantage of WISA Technology and can be used seamlessly with any WISA Ready product.

As the speaker line rolls out, demand for WISA Ready components will likely increase greatly. That’s because the new 2019 LG OLED and NanoCell 4k and 8k televisions that are rolling onto shelves are WISA Ready, with millions set to hit the market.

In a statement, Rob Standley, VP of Marketing and Product Development for Klipsch had the following to offer:

The WiSA Certificaton of our new Reference Wireless line ensures best-in-class audio performance and wide compatibility with today’s most sophisticated intelligent devices and displays. Klipsch Reference Wireless speakers are perfect for those who want the simplicity of a sound bar and high-performance multi-channel capable audio.

The above statement was followed up by Tony Ostrom, President at WISA. Here’s what he had to offer:

The WiSA Certified Klipsch Reference Wireless speakers offer incredible sound solutions at compelling price points that exemplify how WiSA is changing and simplifying the way consumers experience home entertainment. The WiSA Association is seeing tremendous traction this year as a wealth of WiSA Certified and WiSA Ready products hit the market in 2019.

What Is WISA Ready?

WISA Certified and WISA Ready components are designed to work seamlessly together to deliver multi-channel audio. However, to experience this theater-like immersive sound, the listener will not have to worry about spending hours of their time or hundreds to thousands of dollars to have their surround sound professionally installed.

Instead, WISA components create this experience with a set up time of less than 10 minutes. This is achieved through the use of cutting-edge wireless technologies.

Importantly, in wireless audio, latency is a key concern. However WISA Certified and WISA Ready components provide a solution that’s not only easy to install, but is absent of any latency in sound.

Why This Is Important

At the end of the day, the news released by Summit Wireless Technologies this morning is huge for the company and its investors. There are multiple reasons to be excited here:

Reason #1: As Awareness Grows More Brands Are Investing In Becoming WISA Ready

In the technology sector, in order for big brands to stay at the top, they need to be on the cutting edge of technological innovation. Throughout the past couple of decades, there have been very few changes to the way that we experience surround sound.

Nonetheless, this lag in evolution is likely behind us. WISA has broken the mold of home immersive sound, and brands across the board are starting to take note.

The new line of Klipsch speakers is the most recent example of this. Ultimately, as more and more products feature the “WISA Ready” or “WISA Certified” logo and awareness continues to grow, this trend could lead to this technology being a cornerstone in home entertainment ahead. Ultimately, WISA could become the Blu-ray of home sound systems.
